Who we are
TalentOS (talentosbyfex.com) is a reasoning-first assessment environment for technical hiring, run by its founding team. This page describes, in plain language, exactly what the product does with your data today. Nothing more, nothing less. It is maintained by the founding team and updated as the product evolves.
To reach us about anything on this page, reply to any email TalentOS has sent you. Replies are read by a person, not a bot.
What we collect, and why
If you apply to a role through a role link: your CV, your name and email, and the answers you write. They are used to run the screening for that role, and nothing else. Your CV lives in private storage; nobody can read it without authorization.
If you take an assessment: your account email (your account is protected with MFA), and what you choose to connect: your CV, a public projection of your GitHub (never your token or private data), or a LinkedIn URL. We also store your work in the workspace and your conversation with the AI teammate. That conversation is part of the assessment evidence, and the screen tells you so while you work.
Aggregate funnel analytics: we record which stage of the flow visits reach, with no name, no email, no IP, and no per-stage timing. We never collect keystrokes, screen recordings, webcam, voice, or any surveillance signal. Speed is never a signal.
How AI is involved
If you applied through a role link, AI scores your CV and your written answers, with a written justification for every score, and you receive that reasoning by email.
In assessments, AI generates the scenario from the role's job description, and evaluates reasoning with cited evidence from what you consciously produced: your artifacts and your conversation with the AI teammate. The hiring team reviews the evidence.
Transparency runs both directions: after an assessment is evaluated, you receive the reasoning about you.
Retention and deletion
Application and assessment data is kept until you ask for it to be deleted, or until the role's data is removed by the hiring team. Some data cleans itself up automatically: accounts that were never confirmed or never finished securing themselves are purged after 30 days, abandoned assessment sessions are purged after 30 days, and abandoned visit analytics after 90 days.
Deletion on request: ask by replying to any TalentOS email. Deletion removes your CV file first, then every record. Complete within TalentOS, usually the same day.
Two honest boundaries: an email already delivered to your inbox is your own copy of your own data. We cannot reach into your mailbox to recall it. And a CV the hiring team already downloaded during evaluation is under their control, outside TalentOS. Deletion closes all further access immediately.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, and you can ask for it to be deleted. No forms, no friction: one email. If you believe our reasoning about you was wrong, reply and say so; the reasoning you receive exists precisely so you can challenge it.
